Get it here: http://beta.cbserviceslondon.com/vt_scan_db_version.pl put it in /usr/local/sbin chmod a+x , yaddayaddayadda. cd /media cfdisk /dev/sda to see what partition you need to mount. mkdir mount /dev/ cd Ok...now you're ready to run. Script takes two parameters: vt_scan_db_version.pl <-h|-s|-a> SysID is what you decide to call that system. Start it with 'GE-', so I know to delete those results as soon as I see them. :) the flag then tells it what to do: -h : hash files only. Don't actually scan. -s : scan only. Hashing must already be done for this SysID, and it must be the same system. Hashing stores file paths, so even the partition name must be the same. -a : Do both. In the correct order.
